People & Culture Business Partner

The Role
Do you want to help create an outstanding workplace where our people can thrive? At Children First, Scotland’s national children’s charity, we stand up for children, keep them safe, and support families to thrive. We are looking for a confident and organised People & Culture Business Partner to join our friendly, values-led team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.

In this role, you’ll:
  • Partner with services and leadership teams to deliver high-quality HR support.
  • Provide advice on people management, employment law, and organisational change.
  • Lead on strategic HR initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
  • Experience in a People/HR Business Partner role.
  • Experience of leading workforce planning discussions.  
  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with our service areas to proactively embed our people policies and practices.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and commitment to our values.
